The map illustrates the local unemployment risk by drawing upon data of furloughed employees alongside Experian's economic forecasts. Here we present a RAG rated risk index for each local area and we quantify what will happen if a percentage of those on furlough schemes end up unemployed. By default it shows all sectors nationally and is calculated against 10% of the furloughed population becoming unemployed.
The tool is designed to allow you to test different assumptions and analyse the local outcomes. You can either view what would happen to all sectors by selecting 'total' or select a particular sector and then change the percentages to view the differing impact this has across the UK.
